Eddie Mahitom

I was born into the ungodly family of a sorcerer. Now that I have been born again, I am serving the Lord in church and thank God for His blessings on my life and family.

My name is Eddie Mahitom. I live in Cantacson, Caningay Candoni, Negros, Philippines. I was born into an ungodly family; my father was a sorcerer. When I was sixteen, I joined the NPA (New People’s Army) and spent a long time in it. Finally, I surrendered to the government.

Afterwards, I got married; my wife and I were very poor. Our house was near the Apostolic Church. There was a longing in my soul, and I didn’t know what it was, so I started attending the services. They never told me about Jesus or how to be saved. In spite of this, they taught me how to become a “pastor.”

One day, Delve Toting, pastor of Cantacson Fundamental Baptist Church, visited me. He told me how to be saved, but I believed that I was already saved because I was a pastor. We discussed this for a long time, and finally, I realized that his doctrine was true. I asked him many questions. I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour and got baptized.

I thank God for Pastor Toting’s faithful service. Because of his dedication, I am now serving the Lord in the true church, and I also thank God for the great things He has done in my life and for my family.
